Al Hilal Bank announces unprecedented measures to support customers during these challenging times

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to develop, we wanted to reassure you that we’re here to help and support you during these uncertain times. Al Hilal Bank, as part of the ADCB Group, will be introducing a wide range of measures, effective 2 April, 2020 - and these will be in place until the end of June.

Below, you will find detailed information about the measures we’re taking and the options available to support your day to day banking needs.

Our priority remains our employees, customers and partners – and we’re doing everything we can to make sure we continue to offer a great service. We will continue to stay close to developments, and take the necessary action to help protect our employees and customers.

From 1st April 2020 to 30th June 2020, on new individual finances

Enjoy lower rates

First Installment to be deducted after 90 days from the disbursement of funds

For all customers, that are proven to be affected by the COVID19 virus outbreak, Finance instalments will be deferred and profit will be waived for a period of up to 6 months, subject to the Bank's review. If you are impacted, you may send an email with proof of unpaid leave to and one of our representatives will assist.

Finance instalment deferment

For customers holding a finance product who are placed on unpaid leave by the employer(s), a payment deferral of 3 months will be offered and profit waived for the deferral period. If you are impacted, you may send an email with proof of unpaid leave to and one of our representatives will assist.

A payment deferral of 1 month will be available on request for all customers holding Personal Finances, Auto finances, and / or Home Finances with no service charge. To avail a 1-month deferral, please SMS DEF to 2494 from your mobile number registered with the Bank.

Home finance made attractive for new home buyers

An increase in the Finance to Value ratio (FTV) by 5% for first-time home buyers, making real estate ownership more accessible.

Credit Card Repayments

We are reducing the late payment amount on credit cards by 50% to ease out any financial stress

School Fee Payment Plans

We are waiving off profit and processing fee charges on credit card school fees payment plans for 3 and 6 month tenors, to give you better flexibility to manage your household budget.

Cash withdrawal with debit cards

You can withdraw cash with your debit card at any ATM in UAE free of any charges. Our ATMs continue to be available round the clock to serve you.

Travel cancellations

We understand that you may had to cancel travel plans in light of the evolving health situation. For all travel cancellations (hotels, airlines, car rentals, online travel services), we will be waiving off the foreign currency processing fees levied on your credit or debit card.

Payment Plan For Utility Bills At Zero Interest Or Fees

We are introducing a new payment plan to let you pay your utility bills over 3 months or 6 months at zero interest charges and zero fees. To avail the plan, you need to pay your utility bills (ADDC, AADC, DEWA, SEWA) using your AL Hilal Bank Covered Credit Card
